Importing soundfont files and converting them to Ableton Sampler presets is possible (more or less depending on the version and parameters of Live).
But not always practical because of the default volume and velocity parameters, among other things.

Here is a python script that helps with that by batch setting volumes to -12dB and velocity influence to 100% (or anything else you might want as default values).
